The entire build process and relationship with everyone in the Humphrey’s team could be epitomized as a stress-free, exciting and a joyful experience! It was genuinely a pleasure to be associated with this professional team from design concept and to see this interpreted by the full team to completion. Congratulations!

We chose Humphrey Homes because of their reputation for designing and building to an exceptional standard, with excellent quality of workmanship, in a seamless and integrated journey. Even with that knowledge, they have far-exceeded our expectations. We would build with them again tomorrow and recommend them without hesitation.

Erin Godecke & Andrew Granger,
COTTESLOE
This was the third build of our lives, and we can say quite emphatically that this was by far the easiest and most pleasurable experience of the three! Humphrey Homes offers a wholistic approach to building a home, which is completely different to most other builders.

MIKE & SUE TEMPLE,
PEPPERMINT GROVE
From the bottom of our hearts, we are forever grateful to Dean and the Humphrey Homes’ team for taking over our build. We have always been extremely impressed by the homes that are created by Humphrey Homes (HH), and Dean and his team so kindly helped us out of a hole which didn’t seem possible at the time.
–
NEIL & JANIE SAgGERS,
COTTESLOE
We selected Humphrey Homes for many reasons, with the primary reason being the quality of finish observed during a number of displays of earlier Humphrey Homes’ projects. Our house was similarly finished with exemplary quality in terms of craftsmanship and attention to detail. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Humphrey Homes to any prospective client.

Greg & Timmi Chessell,
COTTESLOE
Well, where do we start…. WOW, OMG, it’s absolutely amazing! The words we used as the final reveal took place. However, words rarely do justice to the real feelings and emotions you truly have when your dreams are realised.

As the build approaches lockup my overriding feeling is that of calm confidence. Observing the mechanics of how the team works to address the challenges and changes on the build, I feel so fortunate in the choice of Humphrey Homes. This sense of confidence has grown since my initial chats with Dean and Helen as I contemplated buying a block of land that people had told me was “unbuildable”…

Tracie Cielak,
Swanbourne
Deciding to build with an architect/builder company was really about three priorities: firstly; a good architect that we could work with, secondly; a reputable company with a good track record of satisfied clients, and thirdly; value for money. It was easy scoping out Dean’s reputation. The responses were consistent. “He’s a good operator/guy” was the common response. That also sums up our experience with HH.
–
ANNA AND BASIL,
CITY BEACH
Communication from all the team is outstanding – prompt, professional and always friendly and never any stress when faced with the challenges that our small block has thrown up. We also wondered whether using a company with the architect, builder and interior designer all under one roof was the best fit and value, but without a doubt Humphrey Homes have delivered in spades and saved us from any potential stress.

PAM FOULKES-TAYLOR,
CLAREMONT
I considered lots of different options for designing and building my home, including independent architects, but was attracted to the idea of having an architect and builder in the same company working together from the start of the project and Humphrey Homes seemed the obvious choice. The result speaks for itself!
–
BRIGID CORRIGAN,
COTTESLOE
Faye and I discussed on many occasions about how we could simply describe the building process with you and your team, and we have settled upon the following: Open, Honest, Easy.

To have our architect and builder working in the same business is such a unique combination, it gave us the confidence our home would be architecturally beautiful while also pragmatic and achievable. Working with everyone at Humphrey Homes has been an absolute pleasure. We have been completely blown away by the care and incredible efforts they go to get everything perfect, our concrete slab is a work of art!

Building my home with Humphrey Homes has been a fun, seamless and ultimately a very rewarding process. After just a few meetings, it was amazing how quickly the very basic concept in my mind evolved into the house I wanted to live in. The value of having it architecturally designed stood out in the way in which elements of the block were utilised to maximise the key aspects of the build.

We chose Humphrey Homes because Dean applies an integrated approach to designing and building bespoke homes. Our experience revealed great teamwork between architect, builder, supervisor, interior designer, all of the support team and the many quality trades. We also felt part of the team as our specific ideas and requirements were readily adopted. We have enjoyed the whole process and are thrilled with the result.

RICK & CAROL,
MOSMAN PARK
Having built previously, we would have said confidently that it’s next to impossible to ever be completely satisfied with your builder. But to our amazement we have been. Dean and his marvellous team of industry professionals have delivered our family home just as we wanted it and to an impeccable standard. It’s been amazing to watch the initial hand drawn sketches transform into this beautiful architectural home!
–
TIM & JANE,
MOSMAN PARK
This is not our first build of a new home but it is certainly intended to be our last and it is a great note on which to have finished. The whole experience from start to finish has been both stress-free and exciting. We were looking for a simple but interesting home designed specifically for our needs and interests and were keen to have high quality finish and low maintenance. That has most certainly been delivered and we are delighted with the end result.
–
BOB & ANN STEVENSON, SWANBOURNE
We were impressed with the cohesiveness of the Humphrey Homes team and their genuine interest in achieving the best outcome for their clients. We had complete confidence in every individual’s ability. We were included in every decision-making process, no matter how small, and if we had no preference, or became over whelmed with the choice on offer, Humphrey Homes were happy to provide advice and assistance.

DR TOBY & KATH LEYS,
DALKEITH
Shortly after arriving in Perth, 14 years ago, I cut out an article from the local newspaper about a house in Cottesloe renovated by Dean Humphrey. I was struck by the craftsmanship and attention to detail which often seemed lacking during the boom of 2006. I resolved that if we were ever in the position to pursue an architect build I would engage Humphrey Homes. So ten years later, when thinking to build a timeless weatherboard plantation style home, Humphrey Homes remained the obvious choice.
–
DR AMANDA & GAVIN WARD, MOSMAN PARK
Friends are surprised when we use ‘positive’ and ‘building’ in the same sentence. The truth is however, building with Dean was a very positive experience. There were no surprises or cost blowouts. Nothing was lost in translation. Humphrey Homes understood the initial feel and vision from the outset and managed it really well from right through to the end. We definitely got what we wanted.
–
CAM AND TANIA MCMURTRIE, COTTESLOE
We cannot thank Dean and his team enough. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience building with Humphrey Homes, and we would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone who is considering building.
–
DR BRAAD & CHRISTINE SOWMAN, JOONDANNA
The house is full of beautiful and practical design features that we love, from the rammed concrete wall with seamlessly inset tall windows to the stunning columns bisecting the stairwell over two levels. The quality of the finishes is excellent – extra features like the polished plaster walls and the striking patterned tiles lining the kitchen island bench bring a neutral colour palette to life. Fine details like shadow-line ceilings and quality cabinetry add finesse.
–
ANTHEA MANN,
FLOREAT
From initial design brief and consultations the advantages of working with Humphrey Homes were apparent. All aspects of the design and build being considered together ensured there were no surprises along the way, leading to a seamless design and construction process.
–
JERRY CULLITY,
COTTESLOE
The design process was exceptional, their in-house architect listened and understood exactly what I wanted to achieve and the final design exceeded my expectations. The end result is a home that is classy, practical, and functional and a pleasure to live in. I still don’t quite believe that this wonderful home is mine.
–
NOLA CRUICKSHANK,
COTTESLOE
Thank you and your team for the wonderful job that you did for us. You have worked with us to create a great home that is truly more than a simple building, but also a reflection of our family and how we live. It is a great joy to us and sharing it with friends… Your team has done a wonderful job for us in delivering the house. We greatly appreciate everyone’s efforts; Kerri’s thoughtful design improvements and care, Neville, Dean and Dave’s delivery and craftsmanship and Luke’s horticulture … to deliver so much to a client who sometimes would have seemed to not be paying attention is a great tribute to all.
–
G WARD & S BERTRAND,
COTTESLOE
The integrated approach that Humphrey Homes offered worked really well for us. Having Helen as the in house architect working together with Dean, an experienced builder who knew where it made sense to push the envelope on design, helped us get to an optimal design outcome inside the price parameters we were comfortable with. The depth of the team, and the quality of the trades that Dean could call on, meant we felt well supported through the process, which went as we were advised and expected. We are thrilled with the result.
–
DAVID GRAY & KIM REDDROP, NEDLANDS
We would like to express our sincere thanks to you and the Humphrey Homes team for your patience and guidance through two projects, a renovation of our family home followed by the design of an amazing new bespoke home in Cottesloe. The renovation process from initial planning through demolition, building and completion ran efficiently and effectively and we were impressed with your customer focused approach. Following completing of the renovation, the choice of Humphrey Homes as our architect and builder for our new home on a block we had purchased was obvious.

We were delighted with every aspect of our building process. Dean had some fantastic advice during the design and planning stages, which helped us achieve the end result we wanted on time and on budget. Humphrey Homes are a very professional company, but very easy to work with. I only wish we had the chance to enjoy the house for a bit longer before we moved away! Thanks Dean, Suz!
–
S BERTRAND, COTTESLOE
The trust we placed in Dean and his team proved time and again to be justified. Always approachable, Humphrey Homes helped us achieve our goal with relatively hassle-free build during the height of the building boom. Not only does their award-winning work speak for itself, so do other builders in the industry. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.
–
K & C THOMSON
We have used them on a number of projects over the years and are confident to return because of their high-quality work and service. Their work is well supervised and we trust them to maintain high standards. Their approach has always been upfront, honest and fair. The end product, in the case of our current residence, is excellent, both from a design and building perspective and has been backed up with excellent service (both pre and post completion). We feel like it has been a team effort between ourselves and all at Humphrey Homes. We are more than happy to recommend Humphrey Homes and to use them again in the future.
–
WAYNE & KYLIE,
SWANBOURNE
The Humphrey Homes planning and design team made it easy for us to readily evaluate our options. We were able to plan with, and speak directly to the builder, unlike the large building companies where contact is with the sales consultant. Variations requested during the building process were handled with ease and with a minimum of fuss. We are extremely happy with our new home. We feel like we are living in a resort and don’t want to wake up from the dream!
–
