Dean Humphrey appointed Regional Vice President HIA WA

22 Mar 2019

As Humphrey Homes celebrates its 20th year, Owner/Director Dean Humphrey (pictured here with Cath Hart, Executive Director HIA WA) has been appointed Regional Vice President of the Housing Industry Association (WA), taking over from Phill Theunissen, who moves into the role of President.

Dean said it was an exciting time to take the position and he looked forward to working with the broader HIA team to achieve some positive progress.

“At Humphrey Homes I feel extremely fortunate to be very busy in an otherwise subdued market.  The housing market in WA is a continued maze of change and evolution and I look forward to seeking opportunities to assist members,” Dean said.

“After running a small, independent building company for 20 years, one of my main priorities will be to assist other small building companies who don’t have the time or resources to stay abreast of important changes in the industry.

“HIA is the voice of Australia’s building industry and it is a privilege to work alongside Phill and the team to guide HIA policies in WA,” he said.

Dean’s appointment is for two years, in preparation for a future appointment to the President’s role.

Dean has been involved with the HIA for many years, most recently as Chair of the WA HIA Technical Services Committee (since 2014) as well as representing WA on the National Technical Services Committee and the HIA Regional Executive Committee.

Humphrey Homes is an architecture and building company based in Cottesloe.  As a Perth local architect and builder, Humphrey Homes primarily designs and builds homes in Cottesloe, Mosman Park, Dalkeith, Peppermint Grove, Nedlands, Subiaco and Floreat.
